Friday evening saw some ACW Ironclad action using Iron & Fire rules as Steve Lowry hosted the Union Navy’s attempts to force their way past the Confederate Forts South of the Crescent City of New Orleans.

The Rebels manned forts on both sides of The Mighty Mississippi and had a small flotilla of mixed ironclads and rams to keep the Union at bay.

The action is join as the Union try to push their way through an open section of the Confederate boom defenses.

The battle ensues.

Steve reports “The Union navy is coming through the Confederate chain but they are being severely damaged in the process. Two union ships and seven Confederate ships were sunk by the end of play.”
