Tuesday Night Gaming 09/30/25 Battle of Clontarf & Bolt Action WWII

A good turnout for our Tuesday Night Gaming at Game Nite on Watson Road seeing two games hit the table.

On Table one was another run through of the Battle of Clontarf 23 April 1014 in preparation for our October Game Day West. Rules were One Hour Ancients & Medieval Skirmish Wargames.

Based upon the feedback from the previous Thursday’s Semi Regular Retirees Game some tweaks were added to give the game a bit more historical balance. Above we see an Irish Warrior “shockedwith its fate to be determined at turn’s end or possibly by another Viking successfully melee result while it is down.

Viking players advance upon the Irish.

Things in the middle turned into a general fur ball of a a melee with both sides trying to double team engaged figures to seek an advantage. In the end, the cards favored the Irish side and victory went to Brian Boru the High King of Ireland and his team.

Table two was a bit of a pick up Bolt Action Game that was hot and heavy with action.

It was fighting on the western front as we saw Shermans and Mark IVs heavily engaged.

Victory this time went to the German player but it came at some cost as we see below.

Thanks to all the players who came out for a fun evening.. Our Tuesday Night Game Group is growing and putting on some interesting scenarios. Some are planned some are spur of the moment, but there is always some cards to be flipped, dice to be rolled and figs that need pushing. As always our Thanks to Game Nite for their continued support.
