To celebrate the 87th Anniversary of the radio broadcast of War of The Worlds. Pat Lewis broke out the Martians and U.S. forces for a battle at Miniature Market Cave Springs and all was not very quiet on the Martian Front.

Team Martian (Steve L and Keith S) took on Team Earthing (Greg D and Kevin F) in what would be a hard fought battle with the Marians needing to cross the battlefield and exit 3 units without losing 3 in the process.

Pat had some great looking terrain for the battle as we can see form this kit bashed ruins where a few infantry type were hiding out.

The Marians had some tough units coming to attack.

Likewise the Earth forces were well prepared and dug into the wood line with some heavy artillery units.

Here they come! with Martian Tripods moving forward minus the one that was visited by a Clamp Tank on the hill.

Some lucky dice rolling by the Earth forces did a number on the attack and soon the Martians were short three Tripods.

Steve L made good use of the Marian artillery and heavily damaged several Earth units including one artillery battery.

Things get up close and personal with the Martians closing on the ruined buildings.

A great learning scenario by Pat with some fantastic looking figs and terrain. Victory was for the home team here on Earth but we know that in a couple of weeks we will see a rematch as those rascals just keep coming.

Thanks to all the players and to Pat for a great game. Thanks also to the fine folks at Miniature Market Cave Springs for their continued support.
