Our Tuesday Night Gaming held at Game Nite. featured two great games this week with Cruel Seas and SPQR both by Warlord games. Fortunately for us both Patrick and Andrew sent in photos and reports from their games so we will start with the Cruel Seas game and Patrick’s description.

“On Tuesday 8-4, we played a convoy scenario using Warlord Games Cruel Seas “Old Salts Variant”

“The game involved a small column of coastal freighters sneaking up the English Channel escort by two groups of British boats, some 4 Vospers and a couple of Fairmile Ds. As this convoy progressed up the channel, it was discovered by a German Stuka heading back to base and the Germans scrambled boats to intercept.”

“As the weather started to worsen, the Brits struggled to get away and the Germans rushed to attack. Multiple high jinks and cursing the dice ensued. And, as the rains descended and the two forces separated, the column had lost two freighters and a Vosper, and the Germans one S-28 and a Kriegfishcutter. Thanks for Calvin, Mark, Pat and Nathan for a great game.”

“Total forces involved”

“5 coastal freighters”
“2 squadrons (2 Vosper 1 and 1 Fairmile D”)

“3 x S-100, 3 x S-38, 2 x +Kriegfishcutter and 1 Stuka. All of the german boats were able to be scrambled from their base except 1 each S-38, and S-100.”

And from Andrew so really exciting news on the ancient front….

“Table Two Tonight was SPQR by Warlord Games”

“We got a decent grasp of the rules and intend to begin a league style campaign using the rules built into the game.”

Thanks to Patrick & Andrew for running the games and for the nice report. A Thank You to all the players who came out and our ongoing appreciation to Game Nite for their continued support.
