This week’s Semi Regular Retirees Game provided a final run through of two of the games that we will be presenting on Saturday 10/19/24 at the St. Charles County Heritage Museum October Game Day.

Steve Lowry brought his Fort Bowman in 54mm and it wasn’t a good day for the assaulting British Native American Allies as their luck seemed to have been left back in Detroit. Pat L, Bill D, Mark W and Steve T all took on some of the tasks of the attacking forces.

Above we see the high water mark of the attack as one of the cannons is disrupted for a brief period.

Bill and Steve T observe Steve Lowry engaging their forces.
After Fort Bowman successfully defended itself Mark Williams did a practice run of Cahokia Farmstead.

Steve T and Kevin F took control of the attackers while Pat L and Steve L split the small defending force.

The Chippewas have closed the range but already the losses are starting to mount.

Some Chippewas have flanked the barn and are heading into action.

It was a general close quarters melee in the barnyard which in the end did not go especially well for the Chippewas. The small mixed defending force held on but did suffer numerous hits in the process. The game concluded with a victory for the Patriots, but not one that they could afford to repeat.
Thanks to the players, gamesters for presenting these two games and of course to the staff and Miniature Market Cave Springs for their support.
