02/01/25 Big Muddy Historiccal Gaming Alliance – St. Louis February Game Day West

The First of February found us at Miniature Market Rock Hill with our GM’s presenting three gaming puzzles to solve for our players.

Tim Lalk hosted his 15mm Age of Hannibal pitting Rome vs Carthage in a battle of swirling lines and numerous flanking attacks.

Some of Tim’s superbly painted miniatures.

It was move and counter move as each side looked for an advantage.

The game drew several onlookers.

In the end the battle went to the Roman forces, but not before many a hard fought battle.

Our second game Battle Master what hosted by Dave Schaffner and saw the Imperial forces taking on the Chaos Army in a three game set.

We will let Dave share the story….The guys collided across a new battlefield on Saturday, playing four games of Battle Masters during our game day at the Rockin’ Hill Miniature Market store.  Bob, Eddie, Glenn, Jon, Pete, and Steve all taking up their roles in a dynamic cast of fantasy commanders during the afternoon.  Was a very fun time too

Dave’s super looking game presentation.

Batting clean up was John Nozka and his Bolt Action Battle of Westerplate 1939 featuring the very first battle of WWII in Europe.

It was the mission of the somewhat ill prepared German forces to assault some very well dug in Polish defenders.

Some of the assault group breathing a sigh of relief as the Polish artillery fell a bit short….this time….

The Germans needed to work their way through the wooded areas and it was slow going to be sure, even slower when a minefield was found the hard way.

The Germans just about to the Polish wire, but in the end they had lost too many of their Pioneer specialists to be able to knock out the block house.

A sincere Thank You to our GMs for presenting these wonderful games, our players who took time to participate and the Staff of Miniature Market Rock Hill for their support.
