Normandy 1944 

It is mid-June 1944, and the British are pressing ever harder through the Bocage country west of Caen, to help relieve pressure on the recently aborted dash by the 7th Armoured (Desert Rats) Division.

In the area, are specialist tanks of the British 79th Armoured Division, Hobart’s Hobos, which fight ‘down in the trenches’ alongside Tommy. One of their next objectives is the hamlet of La Senaudiere just ahead, held by Panzergrenadiers of the Panzer Lehr Division.

Game scale – 1/144th scale (12mm), for 2-4 players, using the Greatest Tank Battles rules, Dave Schaffner. GM

We just about finalized the schedule for the back half of the year and we have some exciting news coming up. 

Our September – December Game Days will each focus on a particular historical era in cooperation with Mark Williams who will be inviting his History Students to our events as we look to expand the exposure of our hobby to those who are not as familiar with this great pastime. 

In October it is planned that Jim Long from Ares Games will be joining us for a demo game.

Slots open for October and beyond, but expect them to fill up fast.  If you are on the East side and have asked for a Wednesday Night slot and it didn’t make the calendar this is a great alternative to get your game on. If you live across the River note that Impact Games Center is an easy drive on I-64 with traffic on a Sunday afternoon rarely being a problem. GMs on the on the West side of the Big Muddy should consider this opportunity to run a game or two.
