Dave Schaffner has discussed frequently over these last couple of years his desire to get into the pike and shot era, most particularly the English Civil War in our conversations by email. Based upon the photo and description from Dave it looks like troops are mustering in and heading towards being ready to fill a table very soon.
“Ready for a Royal Rumble – these are Warlord Games’ Epic English Civil War plastics (13.5mm) from one of their Battalia sets. I was first hoping to make up simple “Red vs. Blue” quick armies, but didn’t like the results, so had to backward engineer them with more complete painting. I’ve learned a lot in the process, and hope to paint up more units, better and easier….for a historical period I’ve always wanted to do.”
