Message arrived at 4th Martian Expeditionary Army Intelligence Headquarters from a MKII Recon Squid reading: “Send Reinforcements, under heavy attack, unknown …………….” followed by silence on the comm link.
The players brought their Martian Tripods onto the field and planned their first turn from any location they chose, seeing only the smoke covered hulk of the MK II Recon Squid that had been sent to the area and undoubtedly sent the distress call…..
What they discovered was something previously unknown to the Martian command, it appeared as nothing they had encountered in the past and immediately pressed the attack with their 3 MK III Squids ( Jules R, Steve T, Nate R) and two Scarabs (Mark J, Steve L) .
Ravi joined in to help the GM for a bit.
The monster Godzilla took repeated hits and dished out some rough punishment to the invaders of his planet. Here Mark, Steve and Nate press the attack against the creature.
As the tripods fell they created radioactive toxic areas marked by the smoke that inhibited movement for future tripods and Godzilla.
In the end the Martians prevailed but only after losing 7 of their number to the great monster. The lone Scarab left (Mark J) reported to headquarters that they hoped to never see such a sight again.
