Wednesday Night Gaming 09/11/24 Attack on Fort Bowman

Another game to be featured at our Cahokia Presentation at the St. Charles County Heritage Museum October 19, 2024 is the Attack on Fort Bowman. This game represents a slice of the entire battlefield and the final defensive works of the Patriots at the Cahokia Battle. The scenario assumes that the British Native American Allies elected to press home the attack in an effort to overcome the defenders and carry the day.

Above Fort Bowman is laid out and Game Master, Steve Lowry briefs the players on the rules.

Here we see the attack underway with some close action to the left as the forces in front of the fort draw fire giving the defenders no rest.

Steve is using a modified version of the Attack on Cahokia board-game rules that he has adjusted for miniatures. Above we see the artillery pivoted to support the defenders at the wall.

In the end the defenders held and the attacking force having absorbed too many casualties elected to fight another day.

Thanks to all the folks that came to game and provide feedback for this scenario. Thanks also to the fine staff at Fantasy Books & Games in O’Fallon, IL for their support.
