Wednesday Night Gaming 06/02/25 Cogs, Carracks and Caravels

The Wednesday Night group at Fantasy Books & Games took to the sea with Dave Muhrville’s “Cogs, Carracks & Caravels” naval game this week.

The eight players paired off to cover or interdict a British supply ship that needed to transit the map and it was game on in this look at naval battles in the age of the Renaissance. Crafty maneuvering and favorable winds allowed the much needed supplies to pass through the French lines, but not without a few exchanges of round shot “pleasantries” and a rousing boarding action that saw a French Cog fall into British hands.

Thanks to Dave for bringing his great looking scratch built model ships along with providing an interesting and challenging scenario for the group. Thanks to all the players who could make it and of course the fine folks at Fantasy Books & Games for their continued support.
