Not Quite Epic ACW

Dave Schaffner has sent us a look at his ACW Project

ACW fans, I’ve been on a long journey with these 12mm Gordon & Hague miniatures seen here, as they’ve gone through a bit of paint pimping and two re-basing efforts over the years.

Pictured as of now, shows them formed up at their final roll call – and although they’re not Warlord Epic Black Powder minis, they look somewhat like those strip-style plastics.

More importantly for my gaming plans, they are based to be regimental-size units each, so what you see on the trays are multiple brigades’ worth of troops.

I think they look pretty cool, somewhat like little diorama’s, but the useful part is this little collection will easily allow doing quick-play, historical presentations (thinking also for DieCon already).

Just wanted to show what probably could be done with the Epic Warlord Games (and Wargames Atlantic now) strip-style minis too, being based to function as full regiments and battalions per stand instead.

So, maybe a little ‘Epic’ in potential after all.

Dave

  1. Readers and viewers – a link to a thread on the TMP forum here, discussing further the ins and outs of “why” I’m really enthused about this ACW kit here (and actually – it’s a “systems”-approach – that is transferrable to use with other historical periods and miniatures collections……past or future) –
