Our players found three great gaming opportunities at our January Game Day West held at Miniature Market Retail Superstore in Rock Hill. First on the list was Dave Schaffner’s 3mm Eastern Front game which drew players with his well researched scenario and exceptional table top presentation.
The Russian players making their move.
That’s a whole lot of T-34s!
Dave giving the game wrap up as the Soviets came out on top this time around.
Harry Borschardt took us back in time for some Medieval Mayhem with a demo game of Hail Caesar tapping a scenario in one of the latest supplements. Once and Future King.
It was a small unit density rules learning game which saw several players able to pass through the demos as their time allowed.
We understand that in the three games that were run, the young King Arthur did rather poorly.
In honor of the 210th anniversary of the Battle of New Orleans January 8, 1815 Steve Lowry brought to life the final assault on the American positions by the British in 54mm scale using Fistful of Lead Bigger Battles rules
Steve made a few adjustments to the historical situation in order to give the British a chance. Starting them closer and adding scaling ladders to give the game some balance.
The Americans were behind some formidable entrenchments and armed with both muskets and artillery.
The British broke into two wings to assault the defenses in order to minimize the American heavy guns.
The British despite having taken heavy losses are able to get to the defensive positions and to breach them.
The American left has all but collapsed and the game went to the British.
Thanks to all our players, GMs and the Staff of Miniature Market Rock Hill for their support.
