Steve Lowry brought out his Italian and British Navies of World War II for an afternoon of great gaming at Miniature Market Cave Springs.

Kurt and Mark took command of the Italian flotillas while Greg and Pete assumed to role of the Royal Navy leadership.

Steve brought some great looking models for the respective fleets.

The first turn ended up with a bunch of ranging shots as Pete was the only one to score a hit at long range with light damage to an Italian Cruiser.

As the fleets closed things got much more interesting as accuracy improved. Pete’s flotilla’s lead destroyer taking several hits.

At this point the battle had veered away from Mark’s group leaving Kurt to bear the burnt of the increasingly accurate British fire.

Despite some heavy damage being inflicted on the combined Royal Navy groups they extracted a significant toll on Kurt’s squadron. But not going down without a fight the British found the waters alive with torpedoes in a parting shot.

The game ended with the British on top for the day, but hardly unscathed. Mark does get the award for rolling the most “12s” causing critical hits to his ships of anyone we have ever seen in one game.
Thanks to Steve, the Players and of course Miniature Market Cave Springs for their continued support.
