Diecon Game Convention has been giving the area’s Tabletop Gaming Community a destination event for a quarter of a century. Spanning the entire game industry hosting events for RPG’s, CCG/TCG, Miniatures, and Board Games. Big Muddy Historical Gaming Alliance – St. Louis Barracks Battles @ DieCon 2025 helped to celebrate the 25th year of this superb Midwest Gaming Convention June 6-8, 2025 Gateway Center, Collinsville, IL with a full schedule of games. Cold War Gone Hot
The Hunfeld Frontier – marks entrance to the Fulda Gap, and was the gateway into the heart of West Germany. Part of this route that passes through the towns of Oberufhausen and Wolf, is where Soviet forces and American troops would likely had first collided if the Cold War had gone Hot! Experience a battle probelm based on US army training instruction, played with easy-to-learn rules, and over an authentic duplication of the actual terrian space. MINIATURE SCALE: 1/500
Pamir Peril 1986
Soviets Ambushed in Afghanistan
In the dusty mountains of Afghanistan, the Soviets once again find themselves ambushed by Afghan Mujahideen as they run valuable supplies up to one of their forward bases along the ever-dangerous Pamir Highway. The lead vehicle of an armored convoy of Soviet APCs and trucks has hit an improvised explosive device and is sitting burning on the road. Its compatriots find themselves surrounded by enemies; the Soviets must either fight their way through the ambush or join the corpses littering Afghanistan’s mountains.
