What better way to spend a toasty July evening than by getting together for a game in a cool environment? Our growing Tuesday Night group did just that with a game of the Ancient world presented by Andrew at Game Nite this week and he was generous enough to send along both some great pics and descriptions for us to enjoy.
Using Lion Rampart rules by Osprey Games Dave, Aaron, Caleb & Cory took command of their forces as the glint of sun reflected off the spears and swords that would soon clash in this trial of combat. Let’s hear Andrew’s description of the evening and events…….above ………………. “Israelites continue to surge forward and get some slingers onto the heights to harass the advancing hoplites!”
“The archers take to the woods to harass the Selucid advance!“
“The Greeks advance.”
“Eleazar Macabbee and the Selucid heavy cavalry smash into each other and both fail their courage tests after taking hits, running off the table! He won’t be able to get under the elephant today!“
“The Selucids have managed to close the jaws of their pincer, forcing the Israelites to fight through to escape!”
“A giant scrum develops in the market, with units being forced from the board in a vicious back and forth.”
“The Israelites begin a push through the town following Greek retreats!”
“The Selucid last line of defense! Israelites move off!”
