The Semi Regular Retirees Group gathered at Miniature Market Rock Hill for some Ancients action as Andrew presented some Egyptians vs Hebrews using Lion Rampant Rules by Osprey Games. Dave Becker sends in a great report and some pics supplemented by pictures by Steve Lowry. So we will let Dave take us through the game….
“Egyptians versus Hebrew armies using Lion Rampant ruleset for a game played at the Rock Hill Miniature Market Thursday on 9-11.“
“Initial setup in the first pic. Egyptian army on the left and Hebrews on the right. Objective for each was to take the opposing army’s town and eliminate them from the field.”
“In the second pic the battle is underway with the Egyptians making great progress in the center and and their chariots threatening to take the town. The Hebrew archers at the upper right form a defensive skirmish line but the Egyptians are out of range. The Egyptians on the left move closer.”
“In the third shot the Hebrew horseman have emerged to engage the Egyptian right flank with the Hebrews flushed out of the rocky terrain in the center. The Hebrew archers still have done nothing of note.”
“In the last picture the Hebrews have lost the day. With their horseman who attempted to take the Egyptian town eliminated, their archers depleted, and their town now occupied by the enemy — they need to surrender or flee the field.”
Steve Lowry offered a bit of a birdie view to the scene adding perspective.
