A St. Patrick’s Day game day at Game Nite featured a fantasy scenario using One Hour Skirmish Wargame Rules and the ever popular Bolt Action. Those who missed out are likely Green with envy……
The Bolt Action game saw US Marines taking on some tough Italian forces in a bit of an alternate history scenario while it was off to Middle Earth for the players of the card driven One Hour Skirmish game. Andrew was once again kind enough to send in some photos and description of the action so we will turn it over to him…

“Table one is a Lord Of the Rings battle between the men of Gondor and marauding Orcs! We’re using One Hour Skirmish by John Lambshead, which is a great game for a quick club night!”

“Table two is Bolt Action!”

“The men have formed a defensive line between the ruins as the Orcs rush amid a flurry of arrows!”

“The battle looks grim for the men of the west as Boromir and a clansman of Lamedon fall, their fates unknown”

“On the Bolt Action table, the Marines are pushing into the Italian occupied village!”

“A narrow 2-1 victory for the men , holding both ruins but losing Borormir. Thanks to Mark, AJ, Pat and Kieth for playing!”
“On the Bolt Action table, a Stunning Italian Victory asthe Marines overrun the village, big thanks to Nate and John for playing!”
Thanks to all the players who joined in and offered up some great ideas. Thanks also to Game Nite for their continued support.
