Our Semi Regular Retirees Game was held at Miniature Market Rock Hill for some rockin’ action with the swashbuckling rules.… And One For All! In this scenario we find the King’s Tax Collector with a heavily laden wagon was leaving the village of St. Francois under escort of the local militia.

Not surprisingly this wagon would provide some great financial gain for any small group of highwaymen that might find a way to claim it for their own.

It was up to the various bands of rascals under the direction of Jules R, Dave B, Mark W, Steve T and Pat L. to wrest control of the wagon and get it off the table to their starting line defeating the escort and out maneuvering the other bands of footpads.

Not all of the figures on the board were directly involved and some were just going about their business as we see here, with the Sisters of Perpetual Responsibility coming down the road to towards the wagon. Players could opt to use the passersby to move them into a direction that might block another players movement or line of sight making the moveable terrain.

Early in the game with Steve L operating the Tax Collector.

The militia ready to face off against a brigand.

The wagon is almost down the road and the militia ranks are severely thinned fending off attacks from all directions.

Jules had requested the Sisters move oof the road towards the farmhouse. It was noted during the game that those who were nicer to the Sister’s seemed to get better die rolls. The Wagon now devoid of militia is under the control of a highwayman group and headed for their lair.

The game ended with Jules in control of the wagon but the other bands were in hot pursuit and things were not looking particularly good for him to get it to his exit zone. It is certain that the King will not receive his tax money and this could lead to further adventure on the road to St. Francois.

Thanks to all the players and to Miniature Market Rock Hill for their continued support.
