We were pleased to have the energy and organizational skills of Nathaniel Rizzuto to provide us with a Bolt Action Mini Tournament as an added treat to our February Game Day West/Command Con Lite this month. Players had been readying themselves over the last several months at our Tuesday Game Nights to prepare for the rigors of a round robin style tournament where everyone would be involved in a full day of gaming. Special Thanks to Patrick Connaughton and Jon Russell of Warlord Games for coordinating prize support for our event.

Spread across 4 tables the event included 11 players for an afternoon of challenging gaming.

We also offer our appreciation to the players themselves that helped to make the event work by bringing in a nice selection of terrain to build out the table tops for the tournament. Proof that when the need exists the gaming community will come together to assist in executing an event together.

And GREAT looking tables they were, evidenced by these photos from Nathaniel.

Likewise the miniatures were true works of art. With many a museum quality figure on the table for our Game Day. You can certainly see the high level of modeling skills and preparation that the participants put into their hobby.

Our local St. Louis Gaming Association (S.A.G.A.) was well represented as noted by the orange shirts about the tournaments tables.

Nathaniel even took time to talk with an onlooker in addition to his tournament director and photography duties.

Nathaniel sent in a bit of a report to headquarters so we will share it here. Which considering how busy the day was for him is greatly appreciated.

“We had 11 people show up for the tournament. From all accounts, it sounds like everyone had fun with it. The majority of lists were German, and we had some American, British and even a partisan and a Belgian list come. We had dice get cocked in dice trays, a single partisan sniper survive at least 6 units shooting at it and some lucky artillery strikes. It was a great time with plenty of dice rolling and orders being given out.”

“AJ Cox, John Wilk, Jon Bancroft, Stephen Jacob Godar, James Riley, Cory Eime, Tyler Berry, Andrew, Lewis Marty, Lucas Laningham and Jason all played and all walked away with prize support.”

Thanks to Nathaniel, All the Players, Our Prize Support Team and to the fine staff at Miniature Market Rock Hill for their support in making this a great Bolt Action Tournament.
