Our Semi Regular Retirees Game this week was a skirmish over a supply wagon full of some favorite beverages at Miniature Market Retail Superstore – Cave Springs.

Steve L (The French) and Steve T (The British) took on the challenge presented in Fist Full of Lead Horse & Musket Era supplement Red Hatchets. The goal of the British was to move the unit’s ration of rum along the road exiting the far end of the board. The Eight British Regulars supplemented by Two Rangers formed the escort.

Early on the French force consisting of Five Chippewas and Five Couer de Bois began appearing from the wood line with intentions to thwart the British efforts. Above we see the British recover the wagon after the horse was a bit unnerved by some nearby musketry.

The action became up close and personal with the Ranger (in blue) being downed with a wound caused by a melee with the Coeur de Bois/

Steve T (British) managed to maintain control of the wagon and get it back on the road.

With the wagon moving down the road Steve L (French) looks for opportunities to engage while Mark W and Steve T look on.

In the end the British managed to get the wagon off the board under their control winning the game. They did lose 6 of their initial force of 10 while the French saw 4 of their side fall. An interesting scenario that played quickly with plenty of action and decisions for both sides.
Thanks to the players and those that stopped by for a visit. As always a Thank You to Miniature Market for their support.
