Our Semi Regular Retirees Game on Thursday October 3rd was a run through of Attack on Cahokia in preparation for the upcoming event at the St. Charles County Heritage Museum on Saturday 10/19.

Tom S and Marty G took command of the attacking Chippewas, Potawatomis and British Traders as the moved upon the village of Cahokia on May 26, 1780. Mark W was in charge of the mixed forces defending the settlement.

Above we see the British Native American Allies crossing Rigolet Stream and rushing headlong into the left flank of the Patriot’s defenses. It was tough going as Mark was rolling some great dice for his defensive fire.

Here is a view from the right side of the attacking forces under Marty G who had some success with his Potawatomi in pressing past the farm houses and headed towards the open farm fields. The unit above that is turned backwards was disrupted by enemy fire.

In the end the defenses proved too much for the attacking forces and with the loss of the their 15th unit the Chippewas and Potawatomis concluded this was too tough a nut to crack.
Thanks to Tom, Marty & Mark for giving this one more run through and to the staff at Miniature Market Cave Springs for their support.
Don’t forget to join us for this and 4 other games on Saturday 10/19/24 10am at the St. Charles County Heritage Museum, details are on the flyer below.
