With a work related issue causing the postponement of the Pulp Alley Game, we stepped back in time for a bit of swashbuckling and great adventure with And One For All…. for our Tuesday Night Game at Game Nite.
At DieCon 2025 The Cardinal’s men had successfully wrestled the treasonous Constance de Bonancieux away from the contingent of The King’s Musketeers in skirmish at the village of St. Francois and are now heading to the Convent of Our Lady of Perpetual Responsibility where she will be held for a brief trial and execution. Under the command of Rochefort they have stopped at the small farm of Jean Baptiste Leblanc in order to water and rest the oxen on the cart carrying Constance.
Above you see the game table looking north from the road leading to the Village of St. Francois with the Leblanc farm to the bottom left. At the North end of the road you see a cart being lead by some of the Sisters coming from the convent.
The game opened with the Musketeers (Andrew) leading off with a fast move by D’artangan arriving from the East, charging and jumping the farm wall engaging a Red Guard (Dave) Sentry.
The battle escalated as Rochefort moved in to assist his outclassed Red Guardsman but soon found himself with Athos behind him.
In midst of the battle the Sisters headed towards the farm.
Initiative shifted rapidly for several turns as the combat was intense in the narrow confines near the Leblanc farmhouse. Flashing steel of the valiant Musketeers claimed several of the Cardinal’s men.
Having dusted himself off from the engagement at St. Francois, Pothos arrived in time to support his friends. The Cardinal’s remaining men yanked Constance out of the house hoping to get her to the cart and away before things deteriorated any more. The bravery and skill of the Musketeers put an end to any such thoughts.
