History Through A Different Lens!
Our History Through A Different Lens Initiative was a great success in the Autumn of 2025 and we are continuing the effort with some adjustments based upon what we have learned.
Students will still be invited to our game days to participate and we will coordinate those events to make them the best possible for any that should attend. We will also be doing some school visits
to accommodate those interested but unable to make a Saturday Game day due to other obligations.
If you might know or hear of anyone that might find our Initiative to be of interest please refer them to our website

Warhammer 40K
An incredibly popular game system that is well supported by Games Workshop most certainly. It has been a gateway for table top miniatures players into the hobby and has helped the gaming community in many ways.
It is also a source of frustration for more than just a few players as they see their expensive army that they have spent time and money upon suddenly no longer in the latest updated army lists. We have talked to many of these players over the years at our gaming events suggesting historical gaming as an alternative. If you in your conversations come across a frustrated 40K player invite them to take a look at and come join us for a few games.
Support the Retailers that Support Us!
It is important to remember that we greatly benefit from our local gaming retail community being able to use their space mostly at no charge for our public events. It is only fair that we should whenever possible make purchases from them whenever we can do so.
Buying a soda or your snacks on-site rather than carrying something in may not seem like much but it makes a statement that we are trying to buy here to do our share.
Picking up your paints, brushes and such for your figs, some new dice, card sleeves or accessories adds a little to the cash drawer.
Buy Local!
Gamer’s Garage Sale
There have been a few requests over the years for a flea market or used game sale event. While we attempt to respond to the gaming community as best as our volunteer group can we have not been able to muster enough interest in this type of event.
For those who might be in the market to buy or sell some games or accessories we encourage you to check out the bi-monthly Gamer’s Garage Sale held on the second Saturday of January, March, May, July, September and November at Game Nite 8380 Watson Road, St. Louis, MO 63119. We will list this in the calendar in both this newsletter and the website going forward.
