Reindeer Wars 2025 Celebration of Gaming 12/31/25 Galactic Christmas Convoy & The Great Cane Brake.

New Year’s Eve arrived along with our last day of our Reindeer Wars 2025 Celebration of Gaming. The crew gathered at Miniature Market Rock Hill for wildly different scenarios and eras. John Nozka put together a great looking table for his Christmas themed Sci Fi adventure using Silent Death rules with Santa Claus in space trying to deliver the presents to the good little girls and boys across the galaxy.

The Clausian forces (John N) were escorting a convoy of gifts hoping to slip past the Krampian patrols (Steve T) but no such luck was to be had and it was time to fire up the heavy weapons.

There was lots of pondering, twisting and turning beyond heavy lasers firing across the cold vacuum of space as the convoy and escorts did their utmost to get through and not disappoint the little folks.

Krampian fighters on their way to engage.

As the game evolved the Clausians were able to get one transport off the board while two succumbed to the Krampian attacks.

A Krampian (Steve T) victory, but we are sure that Santa will send more next year.

Our second table featured a game from our American War of Independence 250 project using “One Hour Skirmish Wargame Rules” by John Lambshead with an engagement between Loyalists and Patriots on 22 December 1775 in South Carolina called The Battle of The Great Cane Break.

The Loyalists (Mark J) had intercepted some supplies destined to curry favor with the Cherokee tribe sent by the Patriots and were holding up in a break in the heavy foliage (the cane) near the Ready River. Almost a foot of snow had fallen and the ill equipped troops had built great fires of the cane to keep warm.

The popping of the green cane in the fire and the heavy snow fall has allowed a large force of Patriots (Pete P and Nate R) to all but surround the Loyalist position.

Pete and Nate entered on opposite sides of the Loyalists hoping to get in some good licks for their thievery.

The first of our three games went to the Patriots as they able to subdue the Loyalists and recover most of the supplies.

Our second game adding Rick to the Patriot forces came out as a Loyalist victory.

Game three ended with a victory for the Loyalists as they were able to get away with some supplies and their hides.

Thanks John Nozka for presenting his Sci Fi adventure and to all the players who came out to conclude Reindeer Wars. Thanks also to the fine staff of Miniature Market Rock Hill for their continued support.
