Tuesday Night Gaming 02/03/24 Bolt Action x2 and Cruel Seas

The player mustered in at Game Nite on this Winter’s evening for some hot dice action using these two favorites by Warlord Games with play spread across three game tables.

First up were two Bolt Action games one was a learn to play and another more of a fixed action with both tables running checking out the new third edition rule sets.

Andrew sends in a photo and description “A beautifully painted German on German game of Bolt Action!”

The other game was a learn to play featuring some nicely done troops for the table top.

Meanwhile at a nearby table the throttles were slammed forward and the engines spun up to full power as Patrick Connaughton did a run through of his upcoming Cruel Seas game for Command Con Lite.

Not too many details here as we don’t want to spoil the surprise for the players, but out test team of Andrew, Keith and Kevin did a shakedown cruise of the scenario and all agreed that it was not only seaworthy but well balanced.

Much will revolve around activations and scoring some good dice rolls, but that is true of any game of this nature.

These boats can certainly travel quickly, but moving fast isn’t always to your advantage as the faster you are going the harder it is to hit your target, particularly at longer ranges.

You can almost feel the waves seeing Patrick’s great looking sea mat.

Be sure to check out this fun scenario at Command Con Lite and don’t forget to have your life preserver handy!

Thanks to all the players who made it out to join in the fun and enjoy our mutual hobby.

Thanks also to the fine staff at Game Nite for their continued support.
