The weather outside was pouring but we were inside the spacious Impact Game Center in Fairview Heights, IL enjoying two great gaming opportunities on this Father’s Day 2026.
First up was Ray Runge presenting his Battle of Britain game with some great looking minis for players John and Ray as the Luftwaffe heading to their targets ran smack into a waiting group of interceptors courtesy for RAF Fighter Command.
On table two was Steve King hosting an AWI 250 Project game of the American Revolution using “Action Under Sail” Rules. The newly formed US Navy (Adam J and Les H) took on two frigates His Majesty’s Navy (Kevin F & Craig S) in a rather tough situation that found all sides in a world of hurt after the exchanges of pleasantries.
