Relive St. Louis Revolutionary War History in St. Charles this October

On Saturday October 19, 2024 from 10am – 4pm at the St. Charles County Heritage Museum, The Big Muddy Historical Gaming Alliance – St. Louis, in conjunction with The Historical Game Company and St. Charles County Heritage Museum, will present five tabletop miniature war-games featuring local battles of the American War of Independence in the West. This event is free of charge and open to the public.

Travel back to May 26, 1780 and join our most experienced game masters as they guide you through our local history during the American Revolutionary War using superbly hand-crafted table top miniatures and terrain to give the participants a dramatic experience of the events. The games to be presented are:

  • “Attack of Cahokia” a 3D board game that provides a bird’s eye view of an initial skirmish in the Battle of Cahokia.
  • Attack On A Cahokia Farmstead in 25mm scale, a prelude to the main attack.
  • The Battle Of Cahokia in 28mm scale. The opening salvo in St. Louis’s contribution to American War of Independence.
  • Action At Fort Bowman in 54mm scale. The center piece of the Patriot defense.
  • The Raid On Le Petit Fort in 28mm scale. December 5, 1780  taking place at what is now Indiana Dunes on the shores of Lake Michigan.

Afterwards take time to visit the exceptional displays on the Battle of St. Louis and Attack on Cahokia that the Museum has to offer. Meet Steve Kling,  local historian, author, attorney and game designer of The Attack on Cahokia and numerous other games.
