As part of our WWI gaming week Steve King presented Canvas Eagles for the Wednesday Night crowd at Fantasy Books & Games in O’Fallon, IL.

The mission was a British Royal Flying Corps observation flight under escort over “No Man’s Land”, with the expected objections from the Kaiser’s forces.

Reports from the field indicates that It seems that the German Air Force was on their toes this day and in an aggressive mood getting straight into the mix of things well into British air space as they moved hard and fast towards thwarting the goals of their opponents.

The German aggressive posture paid off as the RFC Observation plane was downed early in the game well before crossing the trenches so whatever information they were hoping to gather will have to be done another day, by another plane and crew.

Thanks to Steve King for presenting a great scenario, the players for coming to join in and of course to Fantasy Books & Games for their continued support. Photos and game description by Steve Lowry.
